Self-Care

Making space for the things that help me feel grounded.

My way of creating internal balance and finding ways to recharge.

Self-care

Rest

Sometimes self-care means doing less. I make space to physically rest, slow down, and let my mind become quiet. Rest gives me permission to step away from productivity and simply be.

Mind & Body Tools

I use different practices to help me reconnect with myself and the present moment. These include Brainspotting, breathwork, consciously practicing being present, positive self-talk, and self-hugs.

Movement

Movement is one of the ways I take care of both my body and my mind. I enjoy walking at the gym, doing dumbbell workouts at home, stretching, practicing yoga, and incorporating Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) into my routine.

Music

Music is one of my favorite ways to shift my mood, process emotions, and simply enjoy being present. Sometimes I intentionally listen to music; other times, I let it become part of the background while I cook, create, drive, or relax.

Art

Creating art gives me a way to express things that aren't always easy to put into words. For me, art is not about making something perfect. It is about having a place to explore and express myself.

Reading

Reading gives me a chance to slow down, become curious, and step into another person's ideas or another world. I enjoy books that make me think, teach me something new, or simply give me somewhere else to go for a while.

Cooking & Baking

There is something comforting about making food from scratch. Some of my favorite things to make are homemade chicken pho using a Costco rotisserie chicken, kimbap, caldo de pollo, and baked goods like scones and banana bread.

Nature

Being outside helps me reconnect with the world around me. I enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing. Taking time away from screens and routines, spending time outdoors, and giving myself space to breathe.
